Sot Bar & Tea

The project is located in Kuanzhai Alley, and SOT is positioned as a friendlier, youth-oriented tea brand. In the early stage of design, it was developed around the idea of "soft conflict"—maintaining and presenting the ecological and traditional qualities of tea while also better aligning with the preferences of the young target customers.

Life | Zen and Tea

There is a lifestyle unique to Chengdu called drinking tea. Stealing a moment of leisure from a busy life, drinking from morning to dusk, with every seat taken and the teahouse full of guests—this has become a distinctive scene. The project is at the entrance of Kuanzhai Alley, honoring Eastern learning while making use of Western learning, combining a trendy and youthful attitude to steep daily life in tea.

Time | Light and Shadow

When the first ray of sunlight shines into the room, on this ancient street, the door of Western civilization opens. Walking on the original and rustic solid wood floor, there is a sense of novelty and a sense of nostalgia. This place carries the exploration of the future and the remembrance of the past. A pot of tea, a glass of wine—opening up the myriad phenomena of the world.

Style | Atmosphere

The space features a round heaven and square earth, with thoughts reaching across the universe. Time slows its pace within the space. The black-and-white color palette, elegant style, and serene atmosphere, regulated by lighting, create a connection between tea and wine. We devoted a great deal of thought to materials, lighting, and circulation planning. From the transition of floor materials to the transition of facade materials, from stainless steel to solid wood, the shift in warmth, combined with strictly calibrated lighting, all work together to create an increasingly heavy and increasingly quiet consumption environment.

Poetry | Romance and Refinement

The return to simplicity in the natural wood style—clean and fragrant. When night falls and the day comes to rest, quietly stay for a while under the soft lighting. Listen to the gentleness of the music, admire the gracefulness of the dance, and savor the refinement of life. Heal the soul with a slight tipsiness, and release emotions through romance.
